For various reasons, pursuing part-time job is one popular option during study period in Taiwan. However, the changes of age and the environment could have certain impact on how students pursue part-time job. In addition, the process of being employed might change students’ choice toward future career. Thus, knowing the factors that affect students’ job motivation and how this working experience affects their planning on career is important for educators and students for career planning. This study mainly has three purposes: (a) to identify the types of motivation toward part-time working with students at different age and in different locations; (b) to identify the types of working achievement students possess; (c) to investigate the impacts of working experience on the career planning.
